Munster Kiwanis Club Names November Students of the Month

Hannah Foster, a senior at Munster High School, maintains a 4.06 GPA.  Hannah is a member of the National Honor Society.  Hannah, a 4-year Scholar Athlete, is a 4-year member of the MHS Varsity Volleyball team.  As a member of Project X, the MHS club for community service, she gives four hours per month to community service.  She has volunteered at Munster Chamber of Commerce’s Breakfast with Santa, and at Munster Parks & Recreation’s Daddy-Daughter Date Night, 21st Annual Car Show and Halloween Pumpkin Patch/Trick or Treat event.  She has been employed at David Griffin’s Baseball Complex since 2018.  After graduation, Hannah plans to attend college, probably Indiana University Bloomington, with a major in Biochemistry or Forensic Science.  She hopes to go on to graduate school in Forensic Science with an eye on a career as a forensic scientist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.   

Sydney Foster, a senior who maintains a 4.36 GPA at MHS, is a member of the National Honor Society.  She was honored with the Departmental Award for Digital Electronics and the Departmental Award for AP Psychology.  She was a member of the Spanish Club and a Link Crew Leader.  Sydney, a Scholar Athlete and Pride, Hustle, Desire Award winner, is a four-year member of the MHS Varsity Volleyball team.  As a member of Project X, the MHS club for community service, she gives four hours per month to community service.  Sydney has volunteered at Munster Chamber of Commerce’s Breakfast with Santa, at Munster Band fundraisers and at Munster Volleyball Camps.  She has been employed at David Griffin’s Baseball Complex since 2018.  Sydney hopes to attend the Engineering School at Purdue University Lafayette and study Computer Engineering. 

Munster Kiwanis Club, which was chartered in 1963, meets at 12:00 noon the first and third Thursday of each month at Giovanni’s Restaurant.  Munster Kiwanis awards scholarships every spring.
