Recently, Munster Police Officer Alex Reillo and K-9 Vader provided visits to several of our elementary schools.
On December 13th, they visited St. Thomas More School to provide demonstrations to 5th and 8th grade students on how Vader detects drugs as well as some additional information about how Vader comforts individuals who are having a tough time due to different circumstances.
On December 17th, they visited Mrs. Torabi’s 1st grade class at Eads School as a reward for their class finishing in 3rd place in the school’s Read-a-Thon.
Our Community Policing Unit appreciates Officer Reillo and K-9 Vader for their continued support of our community outreach efforts and we hope that the students and staff members enjoyed the presentations.
