You know the feeling of the holidays? There is something magical that happens to awaken to gifts found under a tree or in your home. The spirit of giving provides such warmth in your heart when you find that someone was thinking of you by giving something special.

That is the fun of Opportunity Enterprises’ (OE) Angel Tree! It is knowing that you are not only giving a gift, you are giving someone a moment of the holiday magic. OE is offering individuals to provide gifts that give that magical feeling to individuals with disabilities that live independently with help from our Supported Living Program, individuals that might not receive a gift otherwise.

“Without the program, a number of our clients simply would not receive a magical holiday that so many of us do,” says Valerie Thill, chief program officer. “OE’s Angel Tree is a heart-warming way for individuals to create lasting memories and affect someone’s life in a very positive and meaningful way. It means the world to our clients to have holiday joy and presents to open. Everyone deserves to experience the spirit of the holidays,” Thill states further.

Christina P., a client of OE receives much holiday cheer by generous individuals spreading the spirit of the holiday season!

Individuals may support OE’s Angel Tree by being paired with a client or clients for whom gifts can be purchased from a wish list; or by providing monetary donations or gift cards that will be used to purchase gifts for clients. If interested in participating in OE’s Angel Tree, please contact Caryn Sickles, Executive Assistant to Programs by calling (219) 464-9621, Extension 269 or by emailing caryn.sickles@oppent.org.
