On Saturday, September 24, Cubs Charities will host the 17th Annual Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run both in person at Wrigley Field and virtually. Runners interested in participating can register online starting today, August 5, through Friday, September 23, at noon CDT.
The registration fee for the in-person race is $39 and $25 for children ages 12 and under. The virtual option is $44 for both adults and children. Registration prices will increase Friday, August 19, for in-person runners. All runners will receive a 2022 finisher's medal and an exclusive race shirt. The first 5,000 in-person runners to register also will receive one reserved ticket to the September 27 game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Information Regarding Running In-Person:
On Saturday, September 24, at 8 a.m. CDT, in-person runners will race through the Lakeview neighborhood before entering Wrigley Field to run on the warning track, crossing the finish line just steps away from the Wrigley Field Marquee. In-person runners will receive instant photos after they cross the finish line and will have the option to enjoy one beverage (Budweiser, Bud Light or Pepsi) courtesy of Anheuser-Busch and Pepsi post-race at select bars and restaurants (valid until 1 p.m. CDT Saturday, September 24).
Information Regarding Running Virtually:
For those not in the Chicago area on race day, runners have the option to run, jog or walk the 3.1 miles at their own pace and at the location of their choice.
Proceeds from the race will benefit Cubs Charities' mission to mobilize the power of sport to champion youth, families and communities. As a Marquee sponsor of the Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run, proceeds from personal fundraising will be donated to critical care needs for oncology patients at Advocate Children's Hospital.
Thank you for running for a good cause!
Sincerely,
Cubs Charities
