About the Northwest Indiana Partners for Clean Air
Companies, organizations and individuals become members of the Northwest Indiana PCA by pledging to improve air quality through voluntary actions, projects and initiatives. Examples include reducing vehicle idling time, increasing energy efficiency, implementing alternative energy technology, and reducing waste. Partners also promote and subsidize employee programs such as carpooling, public transportation and bicycling, which conserve energy and reduce air pollution.
The partners also work together to raise public awareness by hosting, and participating at, various community events and festivals throughout the year.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) provides technical and administrative support to the Northwest Indiana PCA. IDEM provides information on its website at idem.IN.gov/partnerships/partners-for-clean-air.
