The Towle Theater is pleased to announce their 2nd show of the 2026 Season with Doublewide, Texas written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. The production is Directed by Dion Stover.
Set in the tiny, trailer-park town of Doublewide, Texas—where the population is holding steady at 10—this wildly entertaining play follows a group of eccentric residents determined to keep their beloved town on the map. When they learn that Doublewide has been declared “the tiniest town in Texas,” the quirky locals band together to boost their population before it’s officially wiped off the map. What unfolds is a hilarious and heartwarming story filled with colorful characters, quick wit, and unexpected charm. From outrageous schemes to genuine moments of connection, Doublewide, Texas celebrates the power of community, resilience, and finding family in the most unlikely places. Packed with laugh-out-loud moments and plenty of Southern sass, this feel-good comedy is perfect for audiences looking to escape, unwind, and enjoy a night of pure entertainment.

Returning to the Towle is Gary Murphy (Orland Park, IL).
Doublewide,Texas runs May 1st - 17th. Fridays 7:30pm, May 2nd at 7:30pm & remaining Saturdays & Sundays at 2pm.The box office opens 1 hour prior to performance time. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Reservations must be paid for in advance. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Group rates are available. There is no late seating. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to curtain. If you arrive after curtain, you will not be seated until intermission.
The Towle Theater is located in beautiful downtown Hammond at 5205 Hohman Avenue.
