Park Superintendent Brett Bierman said the new parameters are easy to follow — but not negotiable.
“We can’t wait to see our golfers return. Our course is in great shape and we all know how good it feels to complete 18 holes,” Bierman said. “These processes have been put in place because it is our job to do everything we can to keep everyone at Wicker Park out of harm’s way when it comes to COVID-19. That includes staff wiping down golf carts after each round.”
While the golf course is open, the driving range will remain closed. There will be no ball washers, garbage cans or bunker rakes on the course.
Effective immediately:
• Golfers must practice safe social distancing – 6 feet minimum between golfers – at all times.
• One person per golf cart, unless traveling with a family member living in the same household.
• No more than three people allowed in the Pro Shop at any given time.
• Flag sticks must remain in the hole and should never be touched.
