Bridging the Gap, One Step at a Time
Chicago Tap Allstars was founded in 2020 by Mark Yonally of Chicago Tap Theatre and Bril Barrett of M.A.D.D. Rhythms.Â
The idea behind Chicago Tap Allstars was to create a communal collective that bridges the gap between artistry and activism by advocating for the entire Tap community while creating experiences centered on education and self-expression of the art form.
· Chicago Tap Allstars is an inclusive community for Tap artists, organizations, and enthusiasts to coexist.
· Chicago Tap Allstars audaciously improves access to economic gatekeeping.
· Chicago Tap Allstars creates experiences centered in education and self-expression of the art form.
· Chicago Tap Allstars advocates for more resources afforded to Tap Dance and Tap Dancers.Â

MORE TO DO AND SEE IN BRONZEVILLE

CTA is proud to be performing Winter Wonderland at the Harold Washington Cultural Center in historic Bronzeville. Coming to the show? Here are a few places you should check out before or after the performance.
Our favourite Black-owned coffee shop, Sip & Savor comes from Bronzeville. They serve the finest fair trade coffee as well as a selection of other drinks and pastries, and we especially love their frappes! Check out Sip & Savor here!
Turner Haus Brewery is a new brewery is set to open at the corner of 47th Street and Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood this month! Check it our here!
Soul Veg City has been a major destination on Chicago's South Side for 42 years. They serve heart healthy plant-based foods, which are still super tasty. We LOVE visiting Soul Veg City when we're in Bronzeville. Click here for more info!
