Empowerment Drumming, Mon, September 16, 4-5pm. A series of rhythmic activities directed towards self-expression, and music-making which adds harmony to life. No music experience required.
Walking Club, Mon, September 16, 4-5pm. A fun, free and easy way to build physical activity into your lifestyle. Enjoy the benefits of social support, stress relief and renewed energy. Will accommodate all levels of walkers. A prescription from your physician is required prior to attending
Wellness Support Group, Tues, September 17, 10-11:30am or 6-7:30pm. Provides an opportunity to share feelings, receive support and learn ways to cope with the experience of having cancer.
Blood Cancer Support, Tues, September 17, 6-7:00 p.m. For all those with a diagnosis of various blood cancers. Come and share your journey and experiences.
Chair Massages: Wed, September 18, 10-11:30 a.m. A massage in a specially designed chair which aims to reduce anxiety, fatigue and stress.
Healing Touch: Wed, September 18, 1-2:30pm. A collection of noninvasive techniques that uses gentle touch to assist in balancing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Chi Gong, Thurs, September 19, 9:30-10:30am. Learn this ancient healing art of breath, movement, non-movement and meditation. You will be led through a one hour session of warm-ups, positions and focused movements. A prescription from your physician is required prior to attending.
Chair Yoga, Thurs, September 19, 2-3pm. Designed for those who have difficulty with the regular yoga environment. You may sit or use a chair for balance. Kriya is a holistic, therapeutic, whole body experience; it works to calm the nervous system; strengthens and quiets the mind and body.
