Gov. Eric J. Holcomb today announcedCynthia L. Oetjen as his appointment to the Marion Superior Court. She succeeds Judge Lisa Borges who retired on Dec. 31.

Governor Eric J. Holcomb gave the following statement regarding Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson announcement’s that she will step down:

Republican Secretary of State Connie Lawson announced Monday that she is stepping down. 

“Like many Hoosiers, 2020 took a toll on me," Lawson said in a statement. "I am resigning so I can focus on my health and my family. I will work with Governor Holcomb to ensure our next Secretary of State is up to the task and has the tools and resources to hit the ground running.”

Nominations have been officially reopened for the next Studs Terkel Community Media Awards, and will be open through March 31!
