IRI partnered with Silk Road Rising on the development of Jamil Khoury's Obstacle Course as part of their Raging Issues Of Today Conference (RIOTcon) 2018.
All episodes are hosted by Kim Schultz, who performed her one-woman show, No Place Called Home, at Silk Road Rising in 2015.
With violent hate crimes hitting a 16-year high, and hostility towards Black and Brown peoples enshrined in our national discourses, the IRI went in search of stories that help us reimagine how to be in community with one another.
7 Neighbors is named for the Islamic tradition of caring for the seven neighbors nearest you. The IRI seeks to lift up the voices of people experiencing and resisting anti-Muslim bias and xenophobia by sharing their stories.
Each episode features a personal story, an interview with an advocate in the field, and a thoughtful conversation from an interreligious perspective, creating space for new ideas, innovative practices, and dynamic interchange.
All seven episodes are available now at www.our7neighbors.com and wherever you stream podcasts.
