The Art of Banksy, the largest touring exhibition of authentic Banksy artworks in the world, today announced the Chicago exhibition will be held at the Epiphany Center for the Arts, 201 S. Ashland Ave., a 42,000-square-foot venue for Art, Entertainment and Events on the artsy edge of the city’s West Loop neighborhood. The core of the exhibition will be presented in the campus’ Epiphany Hall – formerly known as The Church of the Epiphany – a landmark building constructed in 1885 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
“Epiphany Center for the Arts’ historic atmosphere offers an ideal setting in which to present The Art of Banksy. Epiphany is poised to become one of the largest cultural destinations in Chicago, and we hope that many will experience this unique space for the first time when coming to see our one-of-a-kind exhibition,” said Corey Ross, President & CEO, Starvox Exhibits, which is presenting the exhibit alongside [ collectiv presents ].

Opening Saturday, August 7, The Art of Banksy will feature more than 80 works by the elusive street artist including many of his most recognizable images such as “Flower Thrower,” “Rude Copper” and “Girl with Balloon.” Banksy’s works are seen on city walls, bridges, and streets throughout the world, but The Art of Banksy offers a rare chance to see a multitude of works in one location. A new block of tickets for the exhibition will go on sale to the public at 2 p.m. CDT on Saturday, June 26.
In true Banksy style, The Art of Banksy is not authorized or curated in collaboration with the artist, but rather sourced from private collections allowing the public to see works that would otherwise stay hidden in private homes or warehouses. Banksy, whose identity is the art world’s biggest secret, is an enigmatic artist and world-recognized activist. His graffiti-influenced stencil technique, often combined with anti-establishment slogans, is immediately recognizable and never fails to generate immediate attention.
Seen by 750,000 people worldwide, The Art of Banksy has already generated excitement in Melbourne, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Auckland and Toronto and rave reviews from critics all around the world. Harper’s Bazaar advised “This isn’t one to miss,” Marie Claire proclaimed it “A must see!” while TimeOut Toronto described The Art of Banksy as “a welcome reminder of the explosive impact of the artist’s works, and of the powerful potential of street art.”
“We are thrilled to host The Art of Banksy as part of the event programming we offer at the Epiphany Center for the Arts,” said David Chase, Epiphany’s co-founder. “In everything we do, our mission is to ‘instill an artistic, cultural experience in all patrons who cross our threshold, with the hope that each will be inspired to realize their own Epiphany.’ Viewing Banksy’s work with our unique and historical venue as the backdrop will undoubtedly accomplish just that.”
Ticket prices start at $39.99 ($29.99 for children 16 or younger), with timed, flexible and VIP ticket options available. Tickets are on sale for viewings from August 7 through October 31, 2021. Food and beverage offerings will be available to guests for purchase at the Epiphany Center for the Arts’ café bar. For more information about The Art of Banksy, visit banksyexhibit.com.
