Supporting artists and enriching the cultural landscape of Northwest Indiana are key components of Chesterton Art Center’s mission that come to fruition each year with the Chesterton Art Fair. The Chesterton Art Fair is a premier annual juried art fair founded by artists and for artists with a long history of providing a stellar experience for both the participating artists and visitors alike. This year’s fair will take place on August 2 and 3, 2025 in Chesterton’s beautiful Dogwood Park.
“The Chesterton Art Fair has become a cultural tradition for our region, and we are grateful to offer the opportunity for artists to arrive from all over the country and engage with the thousands of appreciators that gather for this two-day celebration of the arts,” says Hannah Hammond-Hagman, Chesterton Art Center Executive Director, “We are looking forward to another vibrant fair this summer.”
Artists who create original works in 2D, 3D, fiber, glass, leather, metal, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and wood are invited to apply for this year’s 66th annual Chesterton Art Fair. Applications are currently open and will close April 30, 2025. There will be three artists prizes awarded by the entry juror: $500.00 for best overall, $300.00 for 1st prize, and $200.00 for 2nd prize
For artists, the Chesterton Art Fair serves as a professional and well-curated event that attracts 4,000 visitors each year, giving the chance to connect with art enthusiasts and patrons from across Northwest Indiana and beyond. Chesterton Art Center takes great pride in their reputation for organizing and implementing this large-scale event, welcoming approximately 100 artists locally and from across the country.
“Patrons enjoyed themselves and the quality of artists was high. Compared to fairs I've done, the organization was good. Load in and out was very relaxed. You all do a wonderful job!” says a participating artist from last year’s fair.
