This summer, Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district (5501 Park Place, Rosemont) invites guests to stay active while enjoying the outdoors with the return of its free “Fitness in the Park” series. Beginning June 15, visitors of all experience levels can take part in free Yoga, Zumba, and PowHerhouse fitness classes held on the Park’s great lawn every Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday through August 13. All classes are open to the public and designed to offer a fun, accessible way to recharge, refresh and move together as a community. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water to classes.
“Yoga in the Park” will take place Sunday mornings from 10 – 11 a.m. beginning Sunday, June 15 and running through Sunday, August 10. Presented by Rosemont Health & Fitness, guests will experience the benefits of yoga with seasoned instructors. All participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats.
Beginning June 16, Rosemont Health & Fitness will host “Zumba in the Park” Monday nights from 6 – 7 p.m. through August 11. Each week, Zumba instructors will lead high-energy, fun-filled classes from a stage on the Park’s great lawn.
Feel empowered all summer long on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. June 18 through August 13 at “PowHerhouse” classes. Designed for all fitness levels, the PowHerhouse Fitness team will host fun and exciting low impact workouts, cardio kickboxing, restorative classes and more.
Fitness in the Park will conclude with a Special Fitness Finale class featuring both Yoga and Zumba on Monday, August 11 from 6 – 8 p.m. The event will also include a raffle for participants to enter to win fun prizes from Rosemont businesses.
