 ALWAYS keep your entrance doors closed and locked and NEVER allow strangers into your home who you did not call yourself for outside service. Speak to visitors through a window or doorbell camera if you have one installed at your home.

 BE AWARE that these types of thieves will pose as town employees, utility workers, or home improvement professionals and will either distract you in your yard or home while an accomplice steals items.

 WHEN WORKING OUTSIDE, always lock your exterior doors and take a cell phone and key with you.

 ALWAYS call 911 to report suspicious individuals. If they are legitimate workers they will wait for police.
