Pauline is the daughter of fallen Trooper Paul Minneman. Trooper Minneman lost his life in the line of duty on May 27, 1937. Trooper Minneman stopped to check on a vehicle that was believed to have been involved in a bank robbery when he was fatally shot by members of the Brady Gang.

In 1987, the Indiana State Police awarded Trooper Minneman with the Gold Star Award, which was presented to his family. The Gold Star Award, along with the three other items pictured below, were donated to the Lafayette Post. The Lafayette Post is proud to display these items that honor and remember Trooper Minneman and the sacrifice he made.
