
This past weekend, Troopers assigned to the late shift at the Lowell Post had a busy Saturday night. Throughout the night, Troopers focused particularly on speeding along I-80/94. As a result of their efforts, two vehicle pursuits were initiated that resulted in felony and misdemeanor charges for two individuals. Charles T. Ross, 22, from Gary, IN, and Larryan D. Harrison, 20, from Schererville, IN, were both incarcerated at the Lake County Jail after being taken into custody as a result of the pursuits.
Harrison is preliminarily charged with the following offenses:
- Resisting Law Enforcement- Level 6 Felony
- Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun- Class A Misdemeanor
- Possession of Marijuana- Class B Misdemeanor
- Reckless Driving- Class C Misdemeanor
Ross is preliminarily charged with the following offenses:
- Operating While Intoxicated- Level 6 Felony
- Resisting Law Enforcement- Level 6 Felony (2 counts)
- Operating While Intoxicated Endangering- Class A Misdemeanor
- Resisting Law Enforcement- Class A Misdemeanor
- Failure of Duty at a Crash- Class B Misdemeanor
- Possession of Marijuana- Class B Misdemeanor
- Operating While Intoxicated- Class C Misdemeanor

- 43 speeding citations
- 13 other citations
- 44 warnings
- 7 speeding citations for 100 mph +
- O.W.I. arrests- 4
- Driving While Suspended- 4
- Criminal Defendants- 4 (charged with 13 offenses)

All suspects are presumed to be innocent until/unless proven guilty in court.
