Lowell Troopers Stay Busy as 2021 Gets Underway

  1. Home

Mon, 01/04/2021 - 1:56pm by laughingcat

The following is a summary of some of their activity:

  • 8 individuals arrested for O.W.I. related offenses
  • 102 crash reports taken, 76 were property damage and 26 involved injuries
  • 39 vehicle slide-offs where a crash report was not needed
  • 43 disabled vehicles

Many of these crashes and slide-offs could have been prevented had drivers simply slowed down and drove defensively.  Troopers reported "speed too fast for road/weather conditions" was one of the primary causes for many of the crashes that were covered.
