Heartless is a short story of isolation and ultimate redemption. The story focuses on the life of a baby born without a heart and the stories of the men's incarceration and re-entry back into society. Each story is weaved together to show the journey and life changing experiences that each man has faced during incarceration.
Director Terry Farren stated, "The dedication and open hearts to this project have been a life changing experience for me. I am forever grateful to Antrone Crockett for sharing his short story and trusting my guidance to "breathe life" into our one act play. I am truly honored to be a part of the development team and privileged to direct a 'must hear' story."
Warden Charles Bowen stated, "this has been a very powerful and moving experience. To see the men from the re-entry center create, write, and perform this play in the community, is a proud moment for all. The whole team is proud of these men and the dedication they have shown to the community throughout the process.”
