Wicker Park Farmers Market celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2020, hosted by the nonprofit Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. The opening date of the Outdoor Market has been postponed due to the pandemic, and will now take place every Sunday from July 5 through October 25, 2020 at 1425 N. Damen Avenue, operated under social distancing guidelines. A Virtual Market is available now for online orders at www.wickerparkfarmersmarket.com. For the second year, all vendors participating in the Wicker Park Farmers Market (Outdoor Market) will continue being plastic-free.
The Virtual Market shoppers can place orders through each vendor’s website, who handle deliveries/pickups individually. Pre-order pickups are available every Sunday 8:30–10:30am at Big Star (1531 N. Damen Avenue) with Iron Creek Organic Farm, Seedling Fruit Farm, and Petals Farm, until the Outdoor Market opens. Additional locations and vendors for pre-orders pickups will be added and announced on social media (@wickerpark_farmersmarket). The Wicker Park Farmers Market is presented by the nonprofit Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce with additional support from WPB Special Service Area #33. The market provides a space for local and regional farmers, food producers and processors to sell handmade and homegrown varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, flowers and more. It allows local vendors and residents to come together around shared interests of healthy food and a robust local economy.
The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce serves as a cornerstone of the Wicker Park and Bucktown commercial districts, advancing the financial goals of neighborhood businesses through the creation of a dynamic economic climate, increasing the neighborhood's visibility and viability, and encouraging profitable relationships within the community. The Chamber administers Special Service Area (SSA) #33, guided by a volunteer Commission of SSA taxpayers who serve on active committees. For more information, please visit www.wickerparkbucktown.com.
