Navy Pier welcomes back ‘Shamrockin’ at the Pier, the ultimate 21+ indoor St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl experience through six of the Pier’s most popular restaurant partners, as well as the Spirit of Chicago cruise ship. On Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., each stop along Navy Pier will roll out the green carpet for revelers with exclusive drink specials, live music, St. Patrick’s Day-themed activities, and more.

Participating Pier venues include Bar Sol, Billy Goat Tavern, Haray Caray’s Tavern, Margaritaville, Offshore Rooftop (until 11 a.m.), Reunion, and the Spirit of Chicago. In addition, Shoreline Water Taxi will be offering guests free rides, available every 20 minutes, from Michigan Avenue to Navy Pier. General admission tickets start at $11.50, with guests directed to select specific check-in times and locations.

 Shamrockin’ at the Pier specials include:

  • Shoreline Water Taxi: Water taxi rides available on the Shamrock Shuttle throughout the day from 11:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Architecture tours from Ogden slip and Lake Tours will also be ongoing throughout the day.
  • City Cruises: Guests stopping by can expect a lively dockside experience on Spirit of Chicago from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m., featuring live band entertainment with rock music from the Railroad Gin, a local favorite from Chicago’s south side, along with additional DJ entertainment throughout the event.
    • 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. - Live music from Railroad Gin
  • Bar Sol: Bar Sol will be offering an assortment of $7 shots and specials throughout the day including a classic Green Tea shot, citrusy Shamrock shot and Patty’s Bomb.
  • Billy Goat Tavern: Live music taking place all day from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
    • 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. - Live DJ set from DJ Silkee
    • 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Live music from The Old Goats (aka Classic Trax)
    • 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. - Live music from James Gedda
    • 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. - Live DJ set from DJ Eric Drick
  • Harry Caray’s Tavern: To celebrate the holiday, stop by Harry “O’Caray’s” Tavern for food specials including St. Paddy’s Day staples such as a Corned Beef Sandwich and Corned Beef & Cabbage. Drink specials include ice-cold green beer, the refreshing, rum-based Emerald Isle, Green Tea Shots and Baby Stout Shots.
    • 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. - Live DJ set from DJ Eric Drick
    • 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. - Live DJ set from Delos DJ Set
  • Margaritaville: Offering $5 Jello shots and BuzzBallz, as well as live music beginning at noon. In addition to the shot deals, there will also be $7 Island Shamrock cocktails, Leprechaun Marg o’Rita and fried pickles.
    • 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. - Live music from Jon Allegretto
    • 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. - Live music from Molly Adamson
  • Offshore Rooftop: Start the bar crawl off with Offshore Rooftop, participating in Shamrockin’ at the Pier until 11 a.m.
  • Reunion: Raise a glass with a $6, 12 oz. dyed green beer and patio games all day long. Early risers will also be greeted with seasonal swag, while supplies last.
    • 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. - Proper No. 12 promotion with samples
    • 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. - DJ Jamie Beamish
    • 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. - Chris Cooms will be playing the bag pipes along with Irish dancers
    • 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. - Live music from TBC

 Separately ticketed events taking place at Navy Pier on March 14th include:

  • City Cruises will be operating two St. Patrick’s Day cruises including a Chicago's St. Patrick Day River Dyeing Cruise and a St. Patrick’s Day Premier Lunch Cruise on Lake Michigan. Ticket information can be found here.
  • The Grand ChiLuck will be performing in the Aon Grand Ballroom starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The show’s comprehensive lineup of artists includes Clüb De Combat, Jayah, Kidoo, Morhaus, Robbie Doherty, and William Kiss. This show is hosted by House Calls and takes place in the iconic, 18-000-square-foot venue. Ticket information can be found here.
  • Offshore Rooftop, the world’s largest rooftop, will be hosting ‘Stay Gold St. Paddy’s Party’, a separate ticketed event from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. This event includes live music, a photo booth, and more for those 21+. Ticket information can be found here.
