On June 3rd at 1:45 a.m. the Indiana State Police Lowell Regional Dispatch Center began receiving 911 calls about a vehicle travelling the wrong-way on I-94 eastbound near the 43 mile-marker. The vehicle was described as a white van driving westbound in the eastbound lanes.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, has decided to take a pause on their 2020-2021 three-play season. The season was scheduled to open this September with Mat Smart’s “Naperville,” and include Stephen Karam’s “The Humans” and Richard Bean’s “One Man Two Guvnors,” an English adaptation of “The Servant of Two Masters (Italian: Il servitore di due padroni).”
*UPDATE*- The trooper that was involved in the pursuit and subsequent officer involved shooting the morning of June 2 was Trooper Alaa Hamed, a 4 1/2 year veteran of the Indiana State Police. Trooper Hamed is currently on administrative duty as per Indiana State Police procedures for all officer involved shootings. This continues to be an on-going investigation. No further information will be released.
