For over 35 years, students, athletes, sponsors and coaches of Munster High School have decided to help as many children as possible during the holiday season. Last year, the school was able to care for more than 400 area families thanks to the generosity of others.

Traditional Arts Indiana (TAI) today announced seven apprenticeships teams. The initiative is made possible through a partnership between Traditional Arts Indiana, Indiana University's Mathers Museum of World Cultures, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Bishop Noll Institute will host an entrance exam for prospective students at 8 a.m. Dec. 12 at the school, 1519 Hoffman St. in Hammond. This is the first step in the admissions process for all 8th graders who have not taken the entrance exam yet and are interested in attending Bishop Noll.
Winter river waterfowl surveys discontinued | In 2012, the DNR started doing surveys of waterfowl flying over the lower Wabash River during winter (November-January). A segment of the West Fork White River was added to the survey area in 2013.
