First Merchants Bank Donates $7,500 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana
To help kick off Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana’s Best Summer Ever campaign, First Merchants Bank is donating $7,500 to the organization as part of a dollar-for-dollar matching gift. Through July 3, donations of at least $50 to Boys & Girls Clubs will be matched by First Merchants Bank up to $7,500.
Ginny Takacs Exhibit at the Chesterton Art Center
The Chesterton Art Center will be hosting an exhibit titled, "Dunes, Lagoons, and More" by painter, Ginny Takacs, through the month of July. There will be an exhibit reception held on Friday, July 17 from 6-8 p.m.

Governor Eric J. Holcomb is reminding drivers that beginning Wednesday, Indiana law will prohibit drivers holding mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, in their hands while driving to reduce distracted driving and improve safety on Hoosier roadways.
