The Cigna Foundation and New York Life Foundation launched the Brave of Heart Fund to provide monetary grants to survivors of front-line U.S. healthcare workers who give their lives in the fight against COVID-19. Families of doctors, nurses, technicians, orderlies, cafeteria workers, custodians, volunteers, and others working on the frontlines of healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic are eligible to apply for support from the Brave of Heart Fund.

Indiana has secured $130.4 million from tobacco product manufacturers this year under the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement, Attorney General Curtis Hill announced today.

The men at South Bend Community Re-Entry Facility are keeping busy helping others. In partnership with the Granger Community Church Re-Entry Ministry, several men have worked together to produce nearly 1,000 masks. 

Major League Soccer has extended the team training moratorium through, and including, Friday, May 15.  MLS training facilities remain closed to all players and staff with the exception of players requiring medical treatment or rehabilitation, under the direction of the team medical staff, that cannot be performed from the safety of their residence.

Indiana Dunes National Park’s 50 miles of hiking trails remain open and can provide a safe space for exercise while social distancing and complying with the state’s Shelter-in-Place orders. While all park buildings, including restrooms, are closed until further notice, national park hiking and biking trails, parking lots and most beaches remain open.
