Governor Eric J. Holcomb today (8/13/2020) announced several appointments to various state boards and commissions.

Footlight Players has announced that the opening production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS, that was scheduled to open on September 4th, has been cancelled until further notice.

As the summer break comes to an end, students across western Indiana are starting their return to school.  With that return to school, motorists should expect an increased amount of school bus traffic during the morning and afternoon commutes, and therefore the need to plan those commutes accordingly to allow for extended travel time.  Also to be expected, Troopers with the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post will be hitting the roads to watch for school bus stop arm violations.

Gov. Eric J. Holcomb announced today that he will ask the Indiana State Board of Education (SBOE) to take action to ensure that Indiana’s K-12 schools receive 100 percent of funding as he committed earlier this summer.
